Mutiu Adepoju laud TAP initiative PVC Football






Former Super Eagles player, Mutiu  Adepoju has lauded the organiser of PVC football novelty match which has been geared to encourage mass voting in the forthcoming general election in February.

The PVC novelty match will witness the1994 AFCON winners trade tackles against the 2013 AFCON winners. It is slated on Saturday, February 9, 2019 and will be played at the Legacy stadium, inside National Stadium, Surulere, 

He said it will help voters to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) and exercise their franchise.

"It means a lot, is a great and laudable project, the election is coming and we want everybody to get their own PVC so that everyone can have the right to vote. While voting, vote for the right person you wish." He said.

Also, the convener, Tap initiative, Mr. Mbaseki Obono Esq. said the brain behind the initiative was to enlighten the populace who are sports fanatic to exercise their franchise.

"This project is basically to encourage youths to vote and fulfil their civil responsibility. If you have more people to vote for an election, there is every tendencies that there is going to be high level of electoral integrity.

"Our organization has four thematic areas. We have governance, democracy human right and justice, transparency and accountability.  So this project is ensure that we fulfil one of our governance thematic areas is which is civil responsibility and voter education." He said.
