2019 NYSC Batch b Oyo state Camp Inter-Platoon Competition: Platoon 7 pip Platoon 4, to face Platoon 5 in final on Thursday

Platoon 7 defeated Platoon 4 today 1-0 in the semifinal of the ongoing 2019 NYSC Batch b Oyo state camp Inter-Platoons competition.

Platoon 7 playmaker Ibrahim Usman lone goal in the second half gave them the ticket into the final which will be played on Thursday, 4 July 2019.

Platoon 4 who won Platoon 6 yesterday in the quarterfinal could not produce that spirited effort to tame the claws from their opponent in the semifinal.

But before the break Platoon 7 were upfront in search for goals but were denied by the goalkeeper of Platoon 5.

Few minutes after the break, Platoon 7 lost an opportunity to open the scoring as their striker lost a spot kick and was unable to convert his rebound.

Later, after much attacks, Platoon 7 player Ibrahim Usman broke the deadlock as he latched a rocket effort into the net.

Platoon 4 effort to restore parity were no to avail.

Platoon 7 will face Platoon 2 in the finals on Thursday, 4 July 2019 while Platoon 4 will slug it out against Platoon 2 in the third place match on Wednesday, 3 July 2019.
