Shun violence on, off pitch, Laspotech SUG' sports director, Yusuf advised as LASPOSUG kickoffs tomorrow

The Lagos state polytechnic, Students Union Government (SUG) Sports director Comrade Yusuf Adeshina has advised participating teams to shun violence both on and off the field of play as 2018/2019 LASPOSUG kickoffs tomorrow Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

The annual soccer game which was won last year 2018 by the school of agriculture will witness another feat this year as 8 teams from seven faculties will compete to be crowned the champion.

According to him, this sporting activity was organized to established mutual relationship among students and to unearth and harness talents embedded within students.

“My advice to players is that they should let their games be a fair game and they should move away from any act of violence on and off the pitch.” He said.

The match day one will see the school of technology battle school of communication; school of management and business studies (SM&BS) Isolo slug it out with the defending champion school of agriculture.

Also, school of engineering will play against school of applied science while school of environmental will face SM&BS Ikorodu.

The team that end with the first position will smile away with N50,000 and a trophy, the second will get N30,000 and the third will settle for N20,000.
