"I don't want to fully become a tennis player, I have to get a degree because at an age of 38 or 40, tennis is done for one because such person won't be able to play professional tennis any more, you are not making money, you only have the passion.

"I have in mind to retire at age 41." He said.

Dawariye who is presently writing his West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams added that it has not been a stroll in the park marrying both his academics and sports together, saying that he bury his head into the two.

"It is not easy because you have to mix them with your school when other are taking exams, you have to wait. When you come back you have to write exams on your own, it is a little bit awkward but you have to manage." He said.

He said that being the CBN U16 champion does not make him feel as though he arrived but rather let go of the ego and forge ahead for international medals.

"To me I have not achieved anything. I still have a long way to go. Winning the under 10, 12, 14 and even the under 16 is not achievement even been the Nigeria one is not achievement because the same Nigeria number one that is 25 years and we have players in the world like Alexender Zverev who is 22 years old and ranks third in the world and you are Nigeria number one at age 25 and they don't know you outside.
