The team representing Delta state on Tuesday escaped the allegation of the use of players that did not registered with them to win their match against the team representing Ekiti state.

The hard fought match which ended 2-1 in favour of Delta state witnessed trade of words between the officials of the two teams at the Agege Stadium, Lagos during the Channels Int'l Kid cup match day 2.

After the final blast of the whistle of young and promising referee, an Ekiti state official requested that their opponent's players should be verified.

Following the heel of their request, one of the organiser's official Mr. Dunmodi brought pictures of the Delta state players to clarify that the match was void of cheat.

Venting his comment after the match, the coach of Delta state, Mr. Sunny Osonde said the opponents were good on the field of play but refuted over the clarification that took after the end of the match.

"After the match, the boys were coming out having prayed and thanking God, the officials of channels said they stay a bit and equally commanded that the players of Ekiti should stay on the field that they want to re-screen, you have screened before and you are re-screening.'

"Yesterday we lost and we didn't protest concerning screening and they have not done it to any team that have been playing this competition, so why Delta? It is very really unfortunate, they are killing sports in this country, sentiment here and there, they don't make one single sense. If they continued to behave like this, I don't see how people will come to grace whatever competition anybody is organising." He said.
