Laspotech Tennis club trains 46 kids

The Lagos state polytechnic (LASPOTECH) tennis club has trained no fewer than 46 kids at the just concluded Junior Tennis clinic.

The 3-days clinic witnessed intensive training by experienced coaches who shared their wealth of knowledge in the game of tennis to young ones both in female and male categories.

Participants received their certificates

According to coach Adeyemi Olaniyan, he said the kids were exposed to the rudiment and the basic tennis techniques of tennis.

"We taught the basic tennis techniques of the ground stroke and footwork. Forehand,backhand, volley and how to serve. Footwork like coordination, balance, flexibility etc." He said.

He advised the kids to imbibe in the culture of the sport and make use of the training, adding that parents should support their children to play tennis.

"The participants should just be focused and know what they want. Tennis is a game that can take them places. The parents have been encouraged to support the kids to play the game." He said.
